PT-led training for marathon and half marathon runners
Race Ready is The Run Rx's 5-month program for runners targeting a big race — led by running-specialized Doctors of Physical Therapy, certified strength coaches, and run coaches working together as one team.
It's the clinical support most runners have been missing. Not generic programming. A real team that knows your body, tracks your training, and builds around both.
We open enrollment twice a year — spring and fall cohorts, timed to your race season. Spots are limited and enrollment closes hard.
The waitlist gets first access. Join now and you'll hear from us before the public — with a 48-hour window to secure your spot before enrollment opens.
Run the race you trained for.
Train Smarter. Arrive Healthy.
What’s Included
Everything you need from one clinical team — no piecing it together yourself.
The Race Ready Program is right for you if…
You have a race on the calendar.
Whether you're focused on finishing healthy, chasing a PR, or finally running the race your training has been building toward — you need a team that takes your goal as seriously as you do.
You want support that works with your running, not against it
Not a generic strength plan that ignores mileage. Running-specialized PT’s and coaches who build around your training and adjust as your season evolves.
You know strength training matters, but aren't sure how to fit it in.
You've heard it helps. You just don't know what to do, when to do it, or how to add it without wrecking your legs mid-training block.
You want accountability to actually stick with strength all season
It's easy to skip the gym when the long runs get hard. This program keeps you consistent — with a team checking in, a plan that adapts, and a group doing it alongside you.
You've tried going it alone — and paid for it
You've followed a plan, the miles, maybe even hired a coach. And still ended up hurt, or disappointed on race day. You need more than a program. You need a team.
You want to be part of something, not just on a plan
A group of runners chasing the same season. Group runs, shared milestones, and a clinical team that knows your name — not a dashboard and a PDF.
This isn't coaching.
It isn't PT.
It's both — from one team.
Most runners piece it together. A coach here, a PT when something hurts, strength programming from the internet. Race Ready puts it all under one roof.
We're runners.
Our clinicians run. We've been in the training blocks, felt the mileage climb, and know exactly where bodies start to break down. We're not guessing — we coach from experience.
We see the whole picture.
Physical therapists, strength coaches, and run coaches — under one roof. No translating between providers. No conflicting advice. One team that sees your movement, your load, and your history all at once.
We build around your running, not on top of it.
Strength that fits your mileage. Progressions timed to your race window. A plan that adjusts as your season evolves — not one you have to abandon when training gets hard.
Most of our runners come back season after season.
Once a team knows how your body moves and what you've been through, starting over somewhere else stops making sense.

Two Cohorts a year. One for Each Season
Enrollment opens twice a year, timed to major race seasons. Spots are capped. Waitlist members get 48-hour early access before the public.
Two ways to join.
Both options include the full Race Ready program. The difference is whether your monthly session is in-person or virtual.
FAQs
Do I have to be injured to join Race Ready?
How do I get started once I enroll?
No — most members aren't. Race Ready is a running injury prevention and performance program. It's built to keep you healthy through your training build, not to treat you after something breaks.
How does strength training fit into a running training plan?
We build it around your mileage, not on top of it. The right exercises, the right load, the right timing — so strength supports your running instead of competing with it.
When does the program start and how does it work with my race calendar?
Is Race Ready only for runners in Boston?
What happens after 5 months?
We enroll throughout October for fall races and throughout May for spring races. We recommend starting at least 20 weeks out. We work backward from your race date — so wherever you fall in the season window, the plan fits.
What does a monthly 1:1 session actually look like?
Can the virtual option work without seeing me in person?
What if I get hurt during the program?
More than a workout. Each session includes coaching, education, and a real-time program review — how your body is responding, how your training load is landing, what needs to adjust. A clinical check-in with someone who knows your full picture.
For most runners, yes. Guidance, programming, and coaching don't require you to be in the room. Virtual members get the same expert programming, app access, and group calls. The monthly 1:1 is conducted remotely via video.
Virtual 1:1 sessions make the full program accessible to runners anywhere, and for most, it works just as well. Guidance, programming, and coaching don't require you to be in the room. Race Ready Remote — launching soon — extends that further with a fully remote subscription option.
PT visits are available at a discounted rate for all members. Your clinical team already knows your history — no intake, no starting over.
After enrolling you'll receive an email to schedule your gait analysis — that's your first session. From there, you'll meet with your clinical team once a month for the duration of the program. Everything builds from what we learn in that first appointment.
Most of our runners come back season after season. Members can continue with an ongoing subscription or in-person membership. Your history, your programming, and your team stay with you.
